MacBook Pro Review..

The new MacBook Pro looks virtually identical to the computer it replaced. It has the same unibody aluminum case; the same black, back-lit keyboard; and the same glowing, white apple on the back of the display. While Apple has not seen the need to change the aesthetic of its higher-end laptops, it has made several improvements to the MacBook Pro’s performance over the past year. Shop now!!  Shop now!!
The most obvious difference is that the old Mini DisplayPort connector has been replaced by the new Thunderbolt interface that Apple collaborated on with Intel. Thunderbolt boasts a blazing 10 Gbit/s data rate. That is about twenty times faster than a USB 2.0 interface, and over ten times faster than the Firewire 800 connections that Apple has been using. Thunderbolt can also supply ten watts of power to the devices connected to it, and is backwards compatible with Mini DisplayPort adaptors.
The other major improvement is the replacement of the Intel Core 2 Duo processors with the i5 and i7 Dual-core chips. Intel developed the i5/i7 to be much more efficient. So even though a 2.4GHz i5 and a 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo both have two cores and the same hertz, the i5 will get much more computing done per CPU cycle.
Still, many of the best features of the MacBook Pro are things that we have come to expect from Apple. The magnetic power cable, the multi-touch trackpad, and OS X Lion, all contribute to the simplistic beauty that masks the dazzling performance of Apple computers.
